Conference Excursions: Signup Deadlines

The afternoon of Wednesday, 31 October is a free afternoon. We have two possibilities for group excursions during this time (for an additional fee), which we can arrange if there is sufficient interest.  Please email us no later than *10 October* if you are interested in either of the following:

1. Group guided tour of the Salvador Dali Museum (http://www.salvadordalimuseum.org/).  This museum houses the finest collection of works by Dali outside of Spain.  Approximate cost: $20.

2. Boat cruise on the Gulf of Mexico, 2-3 hour duration, with dolphin watching.  Limited to 18 participants.  Approximate cost: $42.

If you have already emailed us to indicate your interest in one of these, there is no need to email again.  However, we will need sufficient numbers participating in order to arrange these excursions, so if you are interested and have not yet contacted us, please email us by *Wednesday 10 October*.

Guest Tickets for Banquet and Reception

The conference registration fee includes a welcome reception on Sunday evening (28 Oct) and the conference banquet on Thursday night (1 Nov). Additional reception and banquet tickets can be purchased for guests; the cost is $30 for the reception and $60 for the banquet.  Guest tickets for these events will be available for purchase at Registration on Sunday afternoon.  Banquet guest tickets will additionally be available for purchase at the meeting until Wednesday lunchtime.

Poster Pop Submission Deadlines

All authors who are presenting a poster will have the opportunity during the meeting to do an oral 'poster pop' during the regular sessions. If you have not already done so, please confirm with us by email no later than *Monday, 8 October* that you plan to do a poster pop presentation so that we can assemble the poster pop schedule (or alternatively let us know that you will not be giving a pop).

If you would like to do a poster pop, please email the slide (in Microsoft PowerPoint or PDF format) to us *no later* than *Monday, 22 October* so that we can pre-load all pops onto the conference laptop well before the start of the conference.  The filename for your slide should be of the format 'lastname_firstinitial.ppt' (or .pdf).  For example:

    bandyopadhyay_r.ppt
    wachter_s.pdf

Please note that we *must* receive your slide by Monday the 22nd for you to present an oral 'poster pop'.

Proceedings

As astronomers are now accustomed to accessing the scientific literature predominantly through electronic media, we will be publishing the proceedings of this conference electronically.  The proceedings will be published on a website, and a complete copy of all the contributions will be distributed on CD to all participants.  A LaTeX template for the proceedings articles will be available for download from our website by the end of October.  We anticipate that these proceedings will also be indexed on ADS so that they will be available to the wider community, and we encourage everyone to upload their proceedings contributions to astro-ph.

We look forward to seeing you all in Florida very soon!
